Sometimes we need a change of pace and scenery from our day-to-day life. A mini getaway does wonders, but when going abroad just can't fit in, a relaxing staycation it is!
My staycation location? Royal Blues Hotel in Deerfield Beach, Florida (the only Relais & Chateaux in South Florida). And let me tell you, royal indeed. It's a boutique, luxury art hotel, an oceanfront escape, and the lobby opens on one side to a wine lounge. Obviously, I was already loving it and I didn't even make it to my room yet.
The room was just gorgeously designed from the Italian marble to the art, and not to mention the technology (I mean...a high tech Japanese style bidet toilet? You just can't beat that lol). Very modern and oh-so luxurious. To top it off, a private balcony with a stunning ocean view.
The Royal Blues Hotel were so lovely and welcoming, and I was fortunate enough to be a part of an exclusive five course wine pairing dinner that night at their on-property restaurant, Chanson. And before the food even hit the table, the restaurant was a feast for the eyes! A panoramic view of the ocean and a 1500 gallon saltwater aquarium above us in the ceiling. Chic. With the freshest seafood and finest organic ingredients, its no surprise at all that the food's incredible! Their menu is apparently constantly evolving, and in the style of Cuisine du Monde, meaning it takes a modern twist on the classics of the world.
Hoping to match my chic setting, my attire of the evening was a sultry, floor-length black number with floral detailing on the sheer lace. Love!
The next morning I enjoyed a cup of coffee, and was brought up the yummiest breakfast spread by room service to start the day (Omellettes, the freshest fruit, french toast...and I'll admit I was happy to see the Rosè lol).
With their digitally-controlled rain faucet showers, believe me when I say it would be so easy to stay in there for the longest time. So coming out of the shower, my skin was loving my trusty fave, Vaseline spray moisturizer. It's so hydrating, non-greasy, and of course convenient!
My outfit of the day ahead was a strapless denim dress with a lil' ruffles going on top with an artsy clutch. Cute and casual! Before my weekend of feast and relaxation came to an end, I had to take advantage of the balcony in my room, so I opted for lunch with a stunning view. Royal Blues, just what I needed and such a treat! :) Thank you for hosting me; such an outstanding hospitality! Definitely recommend the Royal Blues Hotel to anyone visiting Deerfield Beach, FL.
