Neutral Vibes

While I can appreciate bold colors and flashy patterns, nothing is more classic to me than an all neutral toned look. If going neutral might seem quite basic to you, eventually you'll see how amazingly versatile and stylish these shades are! The best thing about neutral pieces (such as beige, ivory, black, gray, taupe. etc)  is that putting an outfit together is no stress cause they allllll match with each other.

For today's look, I'm keepin' it simple with a tube midi dress. I love a midi dress because it's sophisticated yet sexy and the perfect day-to-night outfit! This suede midi dress is a fall must have in my book. Throw on a trench vest or a leather jacket to add on a layer when it gets chilly, you're fashionably warm and good to go. To go with the taupe dress, I went with my cream toned heels and a cream clutch. Add a couple gorgeous gold accessories, bold up the look with a dark lip, throw on a pair of cute retro shades and we're ready to go! How easy was this look? Easy + chic is definitely a fave combination of mine. When it comes to working with all neutral pieces, anything goes. And best of all, perfect for any occasion and in style all year long. Stock up on 'em! :)

Lace and braids

I can't believe a year already flew by!  I recently celebrated Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, with family and friends.  It's crazy how just a year ago I was in the Big Brother House for the first night of Rosh Hashanah getting ready for FINALE NIGHT!  That day seems so surreal, and I am so thankful and blessed that I got to experience such an insane, once in a lifetime experience.  That crazy rollercoaster ride of 101 days in the Big Brother House led me to this exact moment in my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way!  I am so blessed to have your unconditional love and support shown to me every single day!  This past year has been the BEST year of my life, so I can't wait what this year has in store to top it OFF for an even more amazing year!  I am very excited to share this journey with you and hope you will continue to follow along with me.
Now to the outfit details :) So when I think of a new year, I think of a fresh start. When I think of fresh starts and clean slates, one color comes to mind: white. I picked out this cute yet chic little long sleeve number as my holiday outfit. Cinched at the waist, it's already a flattering outfit. And look closely cause guess what, it's not a dress, those are shorts! As they say, if you cover up on top, don't hesitate to show of some leg (long sleeved + high neck means you can rockkk a shorter hem). It is a mock turtleneck and I just love the lace detailing, so I decided on a braided up-do (aka the crown braid) to showcase the detail. Take a look at the step by step process I took to make this super easy, super cute hairdo that will turn heads left and right. :)

what you will need to master a braid crown:
  • Hair serum, my favorite is TRESemmé Get sleek
  • A hair straightener
  • Hair ties to match your hair color
  • Bobby Pins
  • Hairspray - I use Big Sexy Hair

STEP 1
Part hair into half, and apply a serum for extra smooth, and frizz-free hair.

 STEP 2
Secure each part with a hair tie (make sure the hair ties match your hair color)

STEP 3
braid your hair on each side & secure at the bottom with a small hair tie.

 STEP 4
Take one braid and wrap it around the middle of your head to the other side, and secure with bobby pins.

STEP 5
Repeat with the other braid.

and TADAAAAAAA

There you have it! A Step by Step pictorial to master this quick and easy, yet gorgeous (and one of my favorites)  up-do's!

Excited for you gals' try it! Don't hesitate to tag me in your social media posts, I look forward to seeing you master this Crown Braid! :) I've listed my social media handles below

Wish List Wednesday | Army Greens

Attennnntion! :) Alright, this week's fashion talk is military inspired cause lately I've been seein' army green! Muted green has been in for awhile, and it is the perfect hue to rock for the fall/winter months. I mean, who won't love a neutral?

I'd be perfectly comfortable workin' this all army green look, but if going monochrome isn't for you, the easiest way to sneak a trend in your outfit: accessories. A cute purse, a pair of shoes, or a set of earrings; little touches of the color here and there and you'd still be looking fashion forward. A couple olive-toned pieces on my wardrobe wish-list (and it should be on yours too lol): a Tory Burch wrap around watch and these pointed Steve Madden heels. Beautiful!

And as easy as it is to go for an edgy look with this shade of green, it can totally work for a feminine, dolled up look too. Let's say I'm wearing this army green dress on my list. I could go edgy and throw on a leather jacket and black lace up heels, or I could go feminine with nude pumps and dainty accessories. And if you're not into dresses, pick up a pair of olive toned jeans! This color can effortlessly work for everyone, whichever style you have. So, who's rockin' army green with me this fall? :)
