I can't believe a year already flew by! I recently celebrated Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, with family and friends. It's crazy how just a year ago I was in the Big Brother House for the first night of Rosh Hashanah getting ready for FINALE NIGHT! That day seems so surreal, and I am so thankful and blessed that I got to experience such an insane, once in a lifetime experience. That crazy rollercoaster ride of 101 days in the Big Brother House led me to this exact moment in my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way! I am so blessed to have your unconditional love and support shown to me every single day! This past year has been the BEST year of my life, so I can't wait what this year has in store to top it OFF for an even more amazing year! I am very excited to share this journey with you and hope you will continue to follow along with me.
Now to the outfit details :) So when I think of a new year, I think of a fresh start. When I think of fresh starts and clean slates, one color comes to mind: white. I picked out this cute yet chic little long sleeve number as my holiday outfit. Cinched at the waist, it's already a flattering outfit. And look closely cause guess what, it's not a dress, those are shorts! As they say, if you cover up on top, don't hesitate to show of some leg (long sleeved + high neck means you can rockkk a shorter hem). It is a mock turtleneck and I just love the lace detailing, so I decided on a braided up-do (aka the crown braid) to showcase the detail. Take a look at the step by step process I took to make this super easy, super cute hairdo that will turn heads left and right. :)
what you will need to master a braid crown:
- Hair serum, my favorite is TRESemmé Get sleek
- A hair straightener
- Hair ties to match your hair color
- Bobby Pins
- Hairspray - I use Big Sexy Hair
STEP 1
Part hair into half, and apply a serum for extra smooth, and frizz-free hair.
STEP 2
Secure each part with a hair tie (make sure the hair ties match your hair color)
STEP 3
braid your hair on each side & secure at the bottom with a small hair tie.
STEP 4
Take one braid and wrap it around the middle of your head to the other side, and secure with bobby pins.
STEP 5
Repeat with the other braid.
and TADAAAAAAA
There you have it! A Step by Step pictorial to master this quick and easy, yet gorgeous (and one of my favorites) up-do's!
