Schick® Sweepstakes

Living in a sunshine state like Florida, there is a must all year round. Bare. Smooth. Skin.

Warm weather means less clothes, and less clothes mean you can not neglect your hair removal routines. On top of that, being a fashion blogger means my skin has got to be photo-ready in a moment's notice. So, when I found out I had to restock on my favorite razors, there's the place to go where I'm sure I'll find my trusted essential: Walmart. And my top picks? Schick® Disposable Quattro for Women & Schick® Disposable Hydro Silk. They don't irritate my skin or cause nicks, and they always come through with closest shave, leaving my skin silky smooth. (Psst, look out for them under a list for a few college beauty essentials in a future post!)

And to all my loves 17 & up, Schick is having a #SchickSelfieSweeps Back to Campus contest for you guys to have a chance to win 1 out of 4 prizes of $10,000 toward college tuition plus other cool prizes! There's five days left so submit your entry while you can and good luck guys! :)

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Schick®.  The opinions and text are all mine.

The Village | Give Kids the World | Princess + Pirate

Rewinding back to the Hearts of Reality event earlier this month when I spent the day at the Give Kids The World Village. The village is a 70 acre resort complete with over 144 villa accommodations, entertainment attractions, and fun venues specifically designed for children with special needs.   I had the opportunity to meet the kids and their families, spend time with them, and have a special Pirates and Princesses party with the them!

So, for the party with the kids, we could dress up as either a pirate or a princess. Obviously, I'm going with princess! (I mean, is that even an option for me?? lol) When your style is having an oh-so girly, enchanted princess mood, there's only one way to go: a tulle skirt. I paired this gorgeous ivory skirt with a red top that has cool cutouts at the back. And can we take a minute for these shoesssss! These heels definitely spoke to my inner princess. Pretty, shiny, and with a bow on it. How can you not fall in love? As for accessories, I kept it simple; Gorgeous, dainty studded earrings, my go-to watch and a heart shaped red studded clutch. As for my crystal tiara, I switched it in for a flower crown.

We all got to tour the GKTW village, and it was absolutely dreamy! A child's paradise, for sure. We spent time with all the beautiful children singing, dancing, and having fun. It was an incredibly touching day. (Check out the Give Kids the World site:www.gktw.org) I am so grateful that I was able to be a part of the charity and we were all able to come together and raise money for such an amazing cause. :)

Give Kids the World | People Magazine

This past weekend of mine was spent in Celebration, Florida at the Hearts of Reality event to support Give Kids the World. Give Kids the World is a non-profit organization that fulfills the wishes of all children with life threatening illnesses. The children and their families are treated to a week long, cost free vacation, Central Florida and have a magical stay at the GKTW village. It's a week full of joy and being carefree, making beautiful memories as a family. Kids being kids. (Check out their site www.gktw.org to read more about it & see how you can support and help out this amazinggg cause :) )

So, Hearts of Reality is a weekend long event in which people from reality TV (Big Brother, Survivor, The Amazing Race, etc) come together to raise awareness and funds for Give Kids The World. This was Hearts of Reality's 7th year and over $150,000 was raised for charity! Yay! And not only was the weekend for a good cause, I also got to reunite with my Big Brother family. :)

Waittttt...you already know I have to add a lil' fashion portion! The first night of the weekend was for a People Magazine reception. I went with a red satin dress & nude heels (every woman needs a good pair of nude heels...closet essential ladies!). For a statement piece, I went with gorgeous rose gold Kendra Scott earrings.

Summer Staycation | Ritz-Carlton South Beach

It's no secret that I believe in pamper time. Grab a friend or loved one for some company, and set up a spa day. Everyone needs a little pick me up every now and then! And if you've been reading my blog from the start, you should already know one of my favorites and one of the best go-to spots ever in Florida for some rest and relaxation: The Ritz-Carlton South Beach.

I had the chance to have a mini stay-cation/getaway recently, and to sum it up in one word - luxurious. As soon as you arrive there you'll realize the service is first class (the staff greeted me with champagne, they were the sweetest!) which sets the tone for a great stay.

The rooms are set up with amazing views of the oceanfront, pool, or resort. My room had a private balcony, so I was treated to the beautiful view of the oceanfront and pool.

First stop for me and my plus one was the Ritz-Carlton Spa for a couples massage. We had the "Ritz-Carlton Signature Massage", and first had a quick consultation with the massage therapist to tell about our specific aches and pains so they know which areas to target. All you have to do next is choose your aromatherapy oils, and then be prepared for the besttttt massage. The massage can go for as long as 25 minutes to 100 minutes, depending on what you decide on. We had the 50 minute option which was heavenly. You don't realize how much tension your body holds until you get a massage, and the lightness you feel after can't be beat. After our massages, we spent some time laying out by the pool.

A great spa day is incomplete without good food of course! So to end the night, dinner in the hotel at Bistro One LR. We decided on seafood so I went with the order of Grouper Ceviche served with avocado & plantain crisps and he went with Organic Salmon served with citrus salsa & cauliflower puree. The key to a great seafood dish is the freshness and it definitely did not let me down. Sooo fresh and yummy! And of course, Merlot to go along with meals.
I left the hotel being freshly tanned, knot free, well fed, and in high spirits. Is there any other way to leave the Ritz? I think notttt. :)
