Happy first day of spring | Spring with Neutrogena® Beach Defense® Sunscreen Spray

If you're investing in quality creams and products for your beauty regimen, you probably know the importance of a regular skincare routine. But just as important as what you apply before bed, is what you put on before you head out for the day. One word...sunscreen. Always, always, always remember sunscreen. You may love that glowing sun kissed tan now, but 15 years later your skin won't be too happy.

The benefits of sunscreen:

1. Protects your skin from harmful UV rays and lowers the risk of skin cancer. Did you know that even when it's overcast, you still need to slather on that sunscreen? UV rays can easily penetrate through clouds.

2. Keeps your skin healthy. Sunscreen protects certain proteins in your skin such as collagen, keratin, and elastin, which contribute to radiant, smooth skin.

3. Prevents premature aging. Dermatologists of the Skin Cancer Foundation estimated that about 90% of visible aging comes from how much time we spent under the sun, rather than how old we are. Those fine lines and wrinkles that are popping up sooner than you thought, most possibly from sun damage.

Fortunately for us, these days there are so many different choices and applications for sun protection. Lately, my go-to has been Neutrogena's Beach Defense sunscreen spray, which has been clinically proven to help defend the signs of sun damage. It's water resistant (for about 80 mins) and strong enough to use at the beach, but also perfect for everyday use because it's fast absorbing and lightweight. And the fact that it's in spray form makes it super convenient for to bring it along with me and reapply throughout the day!
Being in Miami, I'm naturally a beach bum, so now my days on the sand are definitely a bit more guilt free. But wherever you are in the world, make it a daily habit to apply sunscreen. Your skin will thank you later! :)
